Victoria coronavirus cases causes AMA doctor Tony Bartone to push for Stage 4 –

The Australian Medical Association president said Stage 4 would involve everything closing except for supermarkets, pharmacies and medical services.

The Australian Medical Association has said Victoria needs to enforce a stricter lockdown in order to combat the COVID-19 crisis in the state.
On Saturday, 217 new cases were recorded, which was a relief for the Chief Health Officer to see a decline in the numbers as Melburnians reaches the tenth day of the lockdown.
But president of the AMA, Dr Tony Bartone, said the state still needs to move to Stage 4 restrictions immediately.
We really need to encompass and look at Stage 4, now, he said.
